I don't know about you guys, but I have heard some terrible horror stories about beauty blenders and how people have found mould inside and bugs etc.... So I checked on the beauty blender website and apparently "with regular cleansing, the lifespan of beautyblender is 3 months". I'm not being funny, but I don't have money growing on trees that I can repurchase a beauty blender every 3 months! That would be £60 a year on sponges. NO THANK YOU! To add to this ridiculousness apparently if you have a black spot that means you have mould growing inside it. So I finally decided to see if this is true, and cut up my beauty blender, an original and a dupe. I have had both for over 2 years! I probably won't do that again, but they have both held up pretty well, and I haven't broke out from them. I do recommend regular cleaning though.
So rather than throw these cut pieces away, I decided to clean them and use them some how.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this post, this was just my experience and my thoughts on the subject.
