I've been terrible recently with posts!! Sorry guys!! Just trying to figure out how to best time manage! Which I'm failing at!
Anywho, these are my absolute favourite products which I've been using almost everyday recently!!

Such an amazing palette! Gives a great finish! Photographs beautifully! Is super pigmented, actually comes off and you can see a difference on the face. I'll do an in depth review later!!

Morphe G2 brush

Never thought I would be saying a brush is a favourite! But this is my first morphe brush and I'm in love! So soft and transfers and applies the product beautifully! I love it!!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I'm late to the bandwagon but this product is amazing!! For drug store as well!! It doesn't have fall out, it makes my eyelashes longer!!! Love it!

Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting spray (jasmine)

The smell of this spray is interesting, however I think it works, it keeps my makeup on for a long time, which is fab!

Subtle Glam Eid look!!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to review these babies, I need a slap!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First things first the break down of price etc...

From: ZS Cosmetics http://www.zsofficial.com/shop

Price:

  • £45 for 12 bundle in a palette
  • £3.50 for a single pressed glitter pan (I think these will be coming in plastic packaging now, not sure if it will affect pricing)
Note: I had bought a 10 bundle, but you can't get that any more.

Product Review
AMAZING, so pigmented, you don't need glue, however I do like to put mac fixing spray on the brush for a smoother easier application. It lasts long, the longest I have worn it is 8 hours I think, and there was no fall out. You do get some fall out when applying it, so I recommend doing your eye makeup before foundation. Another tip, I like to do a base of eye shadow on my eyelids before applying the glitter product, that way there is no risk of skin showing. Honestly, I can't recommend having glitters enough!! Changes your makeup game to slaying, annihilating, demolishing erryting basically. One thing I would say, on her Instagram page, in the video the product does look more wet and creamy, and the product you receive is more dry, so bare that in mind. It is probably more wet because she makes them herself, and those are fresh products I think. ANOTHER amazing point, is that you don't need glue, this is a huge selling factor for me, who has time to faff around finding glue for your glitter.

Service
I want to go into service, because she is a small brand compared things like MAC etc, and sometimes you can be a bit hesitant in buying from brands like these. It did take time to come, but she does do it all herself. With my experience, we had some issues with delivery, but she handled it soo well, she kept in contact with me, she was apologetic. I remember I didn't realise it wasn't coming in a palette, which was an issue because I needed them for my holiday, and she said she would send a palette at no extra cost!!! She didn't have to do that. Unfortunately I didn't receive any of the products before my holiday, but to compensate she sent extra stuff. So I currently have 12 extra pressed glitters in a palette, including 2 of the new colours she had released. Also 2 of her cream highlighters. Honestly her customer service is incredible. She is a very lovely and reliable person. I would definitely buy again!!!

PRESSED GLITTERS!!!!

This post will be about my overall experience with this brand. First of all, I want to make it clear that I love these highlighters, these are my favourite, and I will definitely be purchasing more from this brand.

This isn't a huge international brand which you can find in stores, this woman actually makes the highlighters herself. I was super skeptical when I first ordered from her, I did not expect the quality to be soo good, and for me to prefer it to my high end ones.

Product and Packaging

This product costs £12 including free delivery(unless it's changed now)
In my opinion, for the quality and shade range, the price is very decent.
I have the shades: Gatsby, Goddess, Oura and, Always and Forever
You can get different sized pans.

These products are exceptional, the glow is beautiful, and is very pigmented. A little goes a long way. However, the packaging does let it down a bit, there are no labels on them, so I can't remember which is which. Also in my second purchase, there was no plastic compact for the pan, so being the clumsy person I am, I have already dropped one of the pans and my highlighter has broke. I wish, I knew before hand that she wasn't doing the compacts any more. Although, I think this problem is going to be solved really soon, she said she has some new packaging on the way.

Service

The first time I ordered from her, I think it was December time, I had no problems at all, I received my package within an appropriate time period. The second time however, was another story completely. I had ordered 3 pans, and two of them, I had ordered before the the third, yet they all ended up coming together. It took over a month for me to receive my parcel, I do understand that she is working alone, however during that time she was active on instagram, taking more orders, and developing new shades, and this really annoyed me. Why was she taking more orders, when I hadn't even received mine yet? I had been messaging her at this point, and I did feel that she came across as disinterested a bit, however in the last week she has been really supportive, and apologetic about me not receiving my order yet. I have mixed feelings about how everything was dealt with my order, but I'm still going to purchase more from her, her product was worth the wait.

This is just my experience, it's nothing personal, I just wanted to give an honest review of my experience. You guys should check her stuff out, her highlighter is slaying, you won't regret buying a highlighter from her, the product is really good. @beautyby.nk

Beauty By NK Highlighters

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this gorgeous palette, the colours look beautifulllllllll!!! There are a mixture of matte and shimmery colours, they are lovely and pigmented, and the packaging is just gorgeous. Each column represents a character from the film; Alice, The Mad Hatter, Mirana, Iracebeth and Time.

The guy at the counter actually did a mad hatter look on me, and I loved the eye makeup, the colours were gorgeous!!! They blended beautifully!!! However, I absolutely hated that base he made, my skin looked dull.

So I had a go at using this, and I found that some colours are more pigmeneted than others, which is super annoying. You can see from the swatches I've done. Also when I did the swatches, I did put a primer on my arm, and I used a dry eyeshadow brush, and tried to only swipe under 5 times per colour. Literally some colours did not show up on my arm at all! Might be because of my skin tone, but I think it is because they are not pigmented enough.

Overall, I love the colour selection, and some of the colours apply beautifully and easily, but the consistency in the pigment is a massive let down. Really didn't expect this to happen with this product. I even tried using mac fixing spray on the brush to try and intensify the colour, it didn't work. I don't think it is worth the price of £43.

Alice Through The Looking Glass

From time to time, a mini facial is necessary to give your skin some love, and a chance to rejuvinate and become plump and sexy again. Paying for a facial in this country can be quite expensive, which is why I like to do some mini ones at home, using a couple of products. I try to do a facial at least every week, or every 2 weeks.

First I make sure my skin is clean and free from makeup, so I use the Lush Cosmetics Dark Angels scrub to remove everything from my face, and give my face a good exfoliation and cleanse, to get the blood pumping around that area, and remove any dead flaky skin. I like to do this for about 3 minutes, so my face gets a good massage. I dry my face after.

Then, with my Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish Cloth cleanser on the dry skin, I massage it all over my face for about 1-2 mins (my face absorbs the product quickly!!). Following on with a damp hot cloth, I wipe all the excess product off, and rather than wash my face with cold water after, I dry it, to make sure the pores stay open, ready for the face mask.

Finally I like to use a deep cleansing mask, generally one which is pore penetrating, for example, glam glow mud mask, body shop ionic clay mask, etc... For this instance I am using Avon Pore Penetrating Black mineral mask. They normally say to leave it on for about 10-15 mins, but I just leave it on till it is fully dry and has changed colour. After this I wash it off with warm water, and do not apply any moisturiser/oil/ serum. You can apply them if you want, just to remoisturise the face, I just choose not too.

Products:

  • Dark Angels - Lush Cosmetics £6.95
  • Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser £15.50 (£9.50 for 50ml)
  • Avon Pore Penetrating Black mineral mask £4.50
Let me know what you guys do to make your skin feel good again :)

Home Mini Facial!!!

I have heard sooo much about Avon "claiming" to have a better matte lipstick than MAC, I just had to try it out. MAC has been a leader in matte lipsticks for such a long time, and to hear some other company make the comparison must have some truth to it, right? Especially because they are charging less for it!

The Comparison

Currently MAC matte lipstick retails at £15.50, where as Avon retails at £8 (got it on sale for £5.50!!!). So I'm almost getting two Avon matte lipsticks, for the price of one MAC lipstick.
The packaging for the Avon one is actually matte black which is very nice, and makes it easy to differentiate between matte lipsticks and non-matte. In my opinion, I do think the Avon one is more matte, it applies soooo much more smoother and feels really lightweight on my lips. The MAC ones feel a little bit cakey, and the transfer is ridiculous, I'm not saying Avon doesn't transfer, but it transfers a lot less than MAC. In terms of longevity, I would have to say the it comes really close, except Avon wins, as it stays on my lips even after drinking water from a sports cap bottle across 2 hours. It doesn't fully stay on, compared to when I first apply it, but it does still look like something is on my lips without looking stupid. My one negative is the colour range, I feel as though I can only wear about 4 of the shades. They need more browns, and shades that would suit tanned/olive/darker skin tones. (My favourite shade is Marvelous Mocha).

Overall, I think I can officially say I've converted! Avon Perfectly Matte Lipsticks have really impressed me!! I definitely recommend it to you guys! Whoever tries it out, let me know what you think.

Avon Matte VS MAC Matte

Price: £18.00
From: Beautybay.com
I am in loveeeeee with this palette. The colours are soo pigmented and beautiful. There are 3 matte shades and the rest are shimmer. The blend out beautifully as well. I especially love to use the shade "Wonder full" as a contour shade. A little really goes a long way.
Definitely want t
o buy some more palettes from this brand!!!

Zoeva Rose Gold Palette

32 brushes for £15?!?!?
Sounds too good to be true?!
I was super sceptical, even after reading all the countless glowing reviews. These brushes truly are a bargain! They are good quality, they are soft, there are loads of brushes which is great when it comes to eye makeup and using a different brush for every colour. The pouch is soooooooo worth it!! Perfect for travelling!! I don't actually like the fan brush though, I prefer real techniques fan brush, and I am yet to use the Giant fan brush 😂. Such a good buy for anyone wanting lots of brushes for a good price!
